Georgina Black

Georgina first established a workshop in Vancouver, Canada, and moved to the UK in 2006. She was a member of Blaze, an artist co operative in Bristol, but has now set up Fire Works, her own teaching studio and gallery.

Georgina has been working in the area of contemporary jewellery for 17 years. Her work in glass started over 8 years ago, and heavily influences her jewellery.

She has studied many different techniques of glass work, but favours torch work the most. She calls on the rest of her learned skills to adapt her creations into wearable pieces. Her designs and ideas are continually evolving, which means her glass pieces are one of a kind, or limited edition.

"I love the unpredictable nature of glass, and the colour pallet it offers. It allows me to create a unique piece each time."
